I Feel Me Remix / Let It Rock/ Happy Holidays

First thing's first. Here's a little something I came across today at allhiphop.com CLICK HERE. Some Weezy for you, in case you've been jonesin for some.

Up next, I have to say that the song "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolf featring Lil Wayne will definitely be rocking me into the New Year. I'm also thinking that "Don't Tread On Me" must be the official Young Money motto since Weezy is sporting another hat with that line on it in the video with Kev Rud. None the less I'd like to call this a five star collaboration!

Last but not least, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! Have a great week, and I'll catch you in the new year!

Imagine This

Imagine this...take Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Beyonce and Nivea and put them on a track together. Any track at all. Personally I think that would be the jam of the summer. Maybe this will find it's way to the right eyes and the 4 of them will get into the studio ASAP. Jay and Bey make great music together, Wayne and Nivea made at least one great song together, Jay and Wayne seem to do well in collaboration, so why not connect all of the dots?!!?

NODS ON DECK

Let's talk about the Grammy's. I remember when rappers and the Grammy's was not the norm, but now a days it's like the standard. Jay-Z has 6 nominations this year, while Lil Wayne has been nominated for 8 awards. I highly doubt Weezy will walk away with 8 statues but it's a good look none the less, and I have no predictions at all for how many Hov will or will not leave with. Kanye has 6 nods as well, so it looks to me that hip hop is far from dead.

Dreaming Again

Yeah, so I stubbled across this Jay-Z track. I feel like I may be late in posting this to you all though. Also, this song is cool, but I feel like I'm listening to "Can't Knock The Hustle". Maybe it's just me? Listen to it and tell me what you think. "Dreaming Again" <<--- Click there.

Brooklyn Go Hard

Jay is at it again. This time instead of meshing his flow with the likes os M.I.A. or Coldplay, Jigga has blended his swagger with Santogold. <<---- click there for more info. I'm feeling it personally, but less about my opinion and more about YOURS. Check it out.

Rasheeda Da GA Peach

If you don't know about this woman already, then I feel sorry for you being so out of the loop. Luckily for you however, I am here to bring you out of that musical ignorance. First, let's start with an introduction, a brief bio if you will. Then we'll get into the interview, which Rasheeda was kind enough to take time out of her schedule to bless me with. (Thanx a milli !!!)

Rasheeda, the famous female MC hailing from Atlanta, Georgia has been cranking out hits since early 2000. As a teenager while her friends were transitioning from Barbie dolls to make-up, Rasheeda was busy writing rhymes and perfecting her craft. Rasheeda has always ruled as the Queen of Crunk but she has also established herself as one of the sexiest women in hip- hop.
Rasheeda started out as a member of the teenage hip- hop trio Da Kaperz, which was signed to D-LO Entertainment and is still who Rasheeda is signed to till this day. When D-LO decided to launch her solo career they joined forces with Motown Records and released her solo, debut album Dirty South in 2001. The album contained the dirty south anthem, “Do It (Do Da Damn Thang)” with Pastor Troy. Her follow up was 2002’s “A Ghetto Dream” released independently thru D-Lo Entertainment. That album featured collaborations with the superstars of crunk, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz and secured Rasheeda’s place as “The Queen of Crunk”.

OKAY!! Now time for the interview!

Carter2Carter: How long have you been doing music?

Rasheeda: I been doing music almost 13 yrs.

C2C: How did you get started in it?

Rasheeda:...I met some friends that had a love for music...we was like we should become a group [Da Kaperz] and take things seriously...we spoke to Frost at D-Lo, he said we would be the first group...that's how it started, and I've been with D-Lo since then to now...

C2C: Is that when you realized that rapping was what you really wanted to do as your career?

Rasheeda: That's when I said this is what I think I should be doing...

C2C: Do you think it was more dificult getting to where you are right now because you are a female MC?

Rasheeda: I definitely think so..it's a male dominated industry...with the success of the females that we have had, it doesn't nearly compare to the males...it's alot more difficult for us getting in and gaining respect...

C2C: Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

Rasheeda: My family and fans, they inspire me to keep going. Being with the record company that's been behind me the entire time...

C2C: What do you like most about being in the music business?

Rasheeda: What makes me extremely happy is performing and fans hollering the lyrics back...

C2C: What do you like least about the music business?

Rasheeda: The least is the fakeness...the business can become shady..

C2C: What would you say is your favorite song that you've recorded?

Rasheeda
: ...let me think, "My Bubble Gum" is one of my favorites..."Bend Over Touch Toes", "GA Peach"

C2C: What's your favorite song of all time?

Rasheeda: I dont have one honestly, I go through phases...it just kind of flips with me...I just love music

C2C: Do you have a favorite musical artist?

Rasheeda:...Not really, not like that. There are specific people I will support no matter what...

C2C: If you had to choose 3 albums to listen to, what would they be?

Rasheeda
: Mary J Blige "My Life", Biggie "Ready to Die"...I dont have 3, I would like Outkast, Kanye's "Graduation", and Jay-Z's "Black Album"

C2C: When it's all said and done what do you hope to have accomplished with your music?

Rasheeda
:...my goal at this point....I just want to make a mark...

C2C: I you weren't doing music right now, what do you think you would be doing?

Rasheeda
: Real estate real heavy...I buy properties and rent them and sell them...

C2C:What do you like better, performing or recording?

Rasheeda: ...It works hand in hand, I love them both, you've got to record the great music to perform it...It's nothing like performing...

C2C: How do repare for a show?

Rasheeda: I just get in the city, get relaxed and get focused, and try to do my research on the place I'm at.

C2C: Are there any other genres of music that you really like?

Rasheeda: R&B of course, I like pop music to a certain extent...Estelle and Amy Whinehouse they have a lot of soul

C2C: Do you have any plans to ever venture away from music and do other things?

Rasheeda
: Of course...I love fashion...but I want ot do something a little different...I would love to do jewelery, shoes, handbags..I love hosting...getting on the radio, talking to your city...I've also been writing for other artists..

C2C: Are there any artists that you would really love to work with?

Rasheeda: I would love to work with Kanye, I would love to work with Andre 3000, with Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Keisha Cole…I look at it like those things will come if they’re meant to come…

C2C: Who is one new artist that you feel is going to have a lasting impact on hip hop right now?

Rasheeda: I think Wayne is definitely putting himself in a place to go down with some of the greats…I think Kanye is doing it too though, and T-Pain is doing it too. ,,I really can’t say one person, there are a couple of people who are impacting hip hop…

C2C: How do you feel when people keep saying that hip hop is dead?

Rasheeda: I think they stopped saying that because we damn sure proving that it’s not…anything as big and powerful as hip hop music is going to sit at the top of the rollercoaster and its going to come down the rollercoaster…

C2C: How do you feel when you hear people try to place the blame on hip hop for the way young people are behaving?

Rasheeda: I kind of blame that on certain people who don’t sit down and explain certain things to their kids and sit down and watch the videos and with them and let them know the realities from the things that aren’t real…

C2C: Do you feel obligated to be a role model because you’re in a position where younger people can look up to you?

Rasheeda: I feel like I can’t please everybody all the time…I’m doing me and at the same time I’m drawing a class and respect line, but one thing I do know is everybody is not going to agree with me and my music and the thing that I say and the things that I do…

That's just the abridged version of the interview. To HEAR the interview in its entirety, visit the Carter 2 Carter Youtube channel @ www.youtube.com/carter2carterblog DO IT NOW!!
After you take care of that make sure you check these links to keep up with Rasheeda, her music, and more:

Mrs. Officer

Check out the making of the video for "Mrs. Officer"!
Looks like its going to be everything we expected of it.

What's Going On?

I haven't been hearing much about anyone lately. I did read a short article about Beyonce not wanting to sell the wedding pics to any magazines. I can understand that. I mean weddings are supposed to be special and sacred. However, both she and Jay know that the fans want to see them all. At the very least could we get a pic of the 2 exchanging vows, or something?

Let It Begin!!!

The long awaited and highly anticipated day is finally upon us. By the end of today, American history will be made, regardless of which party takes the crown. We will either have the first president of African American descent, OR the first female VP. Either way, this is big stuff. I will say that I have casted my vote. If you have the ability to vote today, you should definitely do the same. No matter who you vote for, just make sure you do it. It is well worth it. Today shall prove to be truely interesting.

Did I Do Something Wrong????

Exxxxcuuuuse me for addressing issues that people want to hear about! Let me stop playing around. But there was a new blog post on Nivea's Myspace page that I found EXTREMELY ironic. You will remember that Saturday's post was about Wayne and Nivea possibly being married in reference to the BDay song she has for him on his page. WELL, yesterday this was posted on Nivea's Myspace blog:

"Dear Myspace Friends,
To let everyone know about the "HAPPY BDAY WAYNE" song was a private song made by Mack Maine feat. Nivea for Lil' Wayne's birthday; the song was not suppose to be released to the public but it was released on Mack Maine's Myspace page. There was a lot of requests for the song, so it was uploaded on this page. We were just made aware about a lot of rumors flying around blog sites about the song & no the rumors are not being addressed. It has not been confirmed & there is no known "sources". Like I've said before this page is to promote Niveas' music & up incoming Events or Projects she will be apart of. This page is not to talk about rumors you hear or haters to hate. If you don't have anything positive to say about Nivea or her Music please keep it to your self.
Thanks.Xoxo♥

"

Nivea, I'm still a fan. I respect your work. However, you can't blame people for being curious.
That's the news for today. GO ARREST HBV!!!!!!

Wayne Married???

Weezy just may have jumped on the marriage train along with Jay! So I hear that Wayne and Nivea may have finally gotten married. I have seen pics of the alleged "engagement ring" but I never thought much of the engagement rumor. I'm not exactly sure how true this is, but Nivea pulled a Marilyn Monroe, by making a Bday song for him and putting it on her myspace page. She mentions something about "you deserve this daily, from your wife" So at the very least, she's claiming to be wifey. If they are married I say congrats to them. I like the two of them as a couple. Check out Nivea's Myspace. Hopefully there will be some definite confirmation soon.

VOTES

Don't forget to vote for YOUR favorite Carter, the poll is now on the right side of the blog ----->>
It seems like some votes have disappeared and I don't know how to explain that, but oh well! I'm charging that to the game. You have over 100 days left to cast your vote, so you have plenty of time. BUT, on November 4th you should cast your vote in the Presidential election. I know some people don't care about politics and things like that, but I say just vote so at least you can say that you voted in possibly the most monumental election in American history.

Vote!!! It doesn't matter who you vote for JUST DO IT!!

ARREST HBV while you're at it!!!!  click HERE, and HERE! (they are 2 different links)

M.I.A BOYZ

I've been meaning to write about this for a minute now, but life has been outrageous. So M.I.A of course has this song called "Boyz" and I never really liked it enough to classify it as 'my jam' but it's cool. So we already know that M.I.A. was sampled for "Swagger Like Us" on which Jay-z appeared [his verse is my personal favorite btw]. Now Jay-Z can be found on the remix of "Boyz" and I seem to have become much founder of the song because of that. You can hear this song by following THIS link.

Edit!!!!

No need to wait until tomorrow. I came across a video that I HAD to share. So let me start by saying the VERY FIRST VERSION of this song that I heard was by TrillVille ft. T-Pain, and personally I think it was the best version. I don't know what happened in negotiation to let Mike Jones get a hold of it but he did. "Cutty Buddy" by Mike Jones ft. Twista and Trey Songz has a more than interesting video. I love Trey Songz and that was the only reason I looked at this video, but even with all the fondness I have for him, this song was better with TrillVillle and T-Pain. Anyway, the concept for this video is adorable the only problem is that the lyrical content is MORE than inappropriate for the images shown. I have a problem watching a 5 yr old girl playing at recess while some1 sings "You can be my cutty cutty buddy fa sho, you can ride with me" then enters the 5 yr old boy and the chorus continues "We can get it on the bed or the floor dont matter to me". Am I the only one disturbed by this??? I have a feeling this video won't be get much air time if any. Here's the video, decide for yourself and let me know what you think about it.

Nothing Too Interesting

Who Is B.O.B?

Well, last night I traveled to Apache Cafe located in downtown ATL. Basically I was only going to support some homboys of mine who were to perform that night, (which they did and I always enjoy their shows, so shouts out to Izrael and Rellik!) but I walked out of there with something more. By the time I get in the club good, I find out that B.o.B is going to be performing. I'm not going to front, I wasn't excited AT ALL by that news. I've pretty much been intentionally sleeping on this kid since "Haterz Everywhere" started to annoy me. BUT I did catch him on a Lil Boosie mixtape on a song called "Fuck You" along with D.G Yola and being the Boosie and Yola fan that I am, it made me just a tad bit more receptive to sit through his performance last night.

So B.o.B gets up on the stage which is pretty much less than 6 feet away from me, and I think "He looks better in person." not that I watched the video for "Haterz Everywhere" more than once, but just follow me, because we all wonder what these celebs look like away from the cameras. Anyways, he's choppin it up with the M.C and they played a couple of songs and they were good, and he talked about them a little bit, but then he performed. When I tell you that I became a complete B.o.B fan within 16 bars or less I mean it! I also have a new respect for "Haterz Everywhere" (I still can't quote anything more than the hook for you though) His stage presence was incredible. Apache is no where near a large venue, but he rocked that stage like he was in the Georgia Dome or something. [ It's all about your PASSION people!]

I know everyone and their mama has Paper Trail by now and you proly heard B.o.B on track 4 with Luda "On Top of The World" doing the hook, but he does have a verse on that song as well, which he ripped last night! Yeah you know I got it for you too!

Next, B.o.B is a decent singer, more than competant producer and he plays the guitar like he's been it doing for years (WATCH OUT WEEZY!!) Oh, and did you know that just 2 years ago he was a high school senior? [all the 20 yr old rappers just got discouraged] He also got signed 2 years ago, just performing one night at Club Crucial, to hear him tell the story, it sounds like this was one of his first performances too. [all the rappers 18 and under just got inspired]

After it was all through he answered some questions from the crowd and signed some mixtapes. Right now I would definately go buy his album. He's so different from most artists out right now, and it's a beautiful sight to see and I'm glad I got the chance to see it for myself. B.o.B has skillz and a love for what he does, and I've said it before and I'll say it again, when it comes down to a real artist, it's all about their love for the craft. I know I'm probably leaving out somethings, but like I said, I didn't expect to be at a B.o.B show when I left the house last night so I wasn't in "journalism mode", and I DEFINATELY am kicking myself for not taking my camera with me. [ From now on it shall be with me at ALL TIMES]

So I just want you guys to check out his myspace page by clicking HERE. If you don't want to do that then at least just listen to "On Top of the World" which I have provided below, and NO this version is NOT on Paper Trail [I should know since I just listened to it earlier this morning] And if neither of these options appeal to you then go start ARRESTING HBV! <----- click it, I dare you to.

Can I Get An Encore

I never get tired of this song. The collab with Linkin Park is priceless. They couldn't have picked two better songs to merge than "Encore" and "Numb". Well, here's the video.

Biznite Is You Trippin?!?!

I don't know how many of you remember or even know this song, ( I know the HARD CORE Wayne fans know it). Either way, this song is on my list of joints to listen to when I need a pick me up...not that its a real happy up beat track...but sometimes you just wanna say "Biznite is you trippin?" or my favorite "Biznite is you stupid??" I think Biznite is an even better catch term than bling-bling! It is a permanent fixture in the vocab of mine and my friends'.

SO for all of you who are lost right now, I will post it for you. OH AND MAKE SURE YOU LISTEN TO THE VERY END!!!!!! Wayne was doin his "Lollipop" humming back then too!

Who Got Next

Yeah buddy, it's that time again! I think I may need a "Who Got Next" theme song soon. [Maybe I should start taking submissions] Anyways, today you will be introduced to Dubble A.

Dubble A is doing big things out of Statesboro, GA by way of Augusta, GA. At only 19 Dubble A has just released his 7th mixtape titled "Dubble Up". One thing is very obvious about this guy: HE GOES HARD! His grind is ridiculous. In less than one week "Dubble Up" has already gotten over 500 downloads. For an up and coming artist with no established marketing team behind him I have to say that is more than pretty impressive. If you ask me, I think he's following the Blueprint. He is also the CEO of PCP Entertainment. If you haven't heard anything about Dubble A yet, just wait a while and I guarantee that you will. Just remember that you heard it here FIRST!!!!!

With no further adu, here is the link for you to download "Dubble Up" for FREE!

Also check out his Myspace page.

Never A Right Time To Say Good-Bye

Apparently though BET feels that this month is the right time to say good-bye to Rap City. Yes, it's finally going to be put to rest. I can't say that I'll miss it, since I haven't really sat down in front of Rap City since Tigger left Tha Basement. I know there are still fans out there however, and to you I extend my condolences. Who Got Next

Here we go, here we go, here we go now! Yes, I told you "Who Got Next" would be back today, and I am a woman of my word. So last year sometime I attended a showcase at the illustrious GA State University (G-State stand up!) and saw quite a few rappers do their thing on the stage. They were all pretty talented in their own right, but one cat was really on top of his. His music was right, lyrics were there, and he looked pretty darn comfortable on that stage (which is like the most important thing of all, if Wayne or Jay had no stage swag, we wouldn't like them as much). Earlier this month I went to this freestyle battle and saw this same guy take the crown. So I feel it's only right that I bring him to your attention. With no further delay I would like to introduce you all to CA$H'ET.

CA$H'ET is a rapper and a producer born and raised in Savannah, GA. [Shouts out to Armstrong Atlantic State University...I see you!!] Back to the mission at hand, as if being a rapper AND a producer wasn't enough for you, let's add the fact that he's a college sophomore. [All the extra old rappers and or producers trying to get on just got discouraged :( ] So I got a chance to sit down with CA$H'ET and gather some info.

CA$H'ET describes himsefl as a lyrical southern artist with an edgey flow. He's been making music since he was around 3 or 4 years old. If that's not impressive then I don't know what is. So of course I had to ask the question

"How and why did you get started in music?"

CA$H'ET: I come from a musical family

Doing music nearly his entire life and coming from a musical lineage, it almost seems unfair to all the other aspiring musical artists. I mean who would knowingly want to compete with that? So my next question was:

"Why do you continue to do it?"

CA$H'ET: Because I love music

There was no hesitation at all when he answered this question. I think that's how you know that someone's heart is really in something. You ask them and INSTANTLY they can tell you that they love it.

"What do you want to accomplish with your music?"

CA$H'ET: I want to reach alot of people with my songs and beats and leave a lasting impression on them.

This is where your average run of the mill rapper would have said "Yeah, you know shawty, I'm tryna blow up. I'm after that paper nawmeen? I want the world to see me and know my name." You all know what I'm saying is true. But the way CA$H'ET asnwered the question lets you know that he is about his music, not the "perks" that come with celebrity. This is what you call a true artist.

So in addition to the appearances that I have already mentioned, CA$H'ET has also performed at the Sweet Auburn Spring Fest in Atlanta, GA. He is currently working on a song entitled "Road Dogs" which details the close relationship he has with his cousins. Another song in the works is called "Lyrical Homicide" and this is OBVIOUSLY self explanatory. I'm personally anticipating the release of that joint. A third song called "Mystery" describes people not knowing him as an artist. All of these songs will be on his currently untitled promo cd which is scheduled to drop this winter. [ When it drops I'll give you the details on how to get it yoursefl] Next question:

"What's your favorite song that you've done and your favorite song out now in the mainstream?"

CA$H'ET: A song I did when I was 13 called "Smooth Like A Criminal"

"And a song out now?"

CA$H'ET: That's hard...a lot of them are too repetitive

"Well, it doesn't have to be out now, any mainstream song"

CA$H'ET: Anything Bone Thugs N Harmony, songs produced by Fatboi and Shawty Redd.

"Is there anything extra that you would like people to know about yourself and or your music?"

CA$H'ET: It always comes from the heart, I never do something I don't believe myself and it's always high quality.

I don't know about you guys out there, but I'm sold. He's a real artist with a real love for what he does. It doesn't get much better than that if you ask me. I realize that this post is pic free, so yes ladies, he is easy to look at too. Plus he gets extra points for being hella cool, since I basically ambushed him with this interview :) Now, it is time for you all to decide for yourselves whether or not CA$H'ET has next. Check his music out HERE!

Arrest HBV!!!

There is a new movement going on. Well, it's new to me anyway, and I think it's something that should get more publicity than what it does. So, I'm going to do my part to "Arrest HBV". Hopefully by the end of this post you will be informed on HBV [hepatitis B virus] and the Arrest HBV movement. Also, you will hopefully want to join in the movement as well. Here we go.

This was brought to my attention by a young lady by the name of Ashley Evans who I had the honor of attending and graduating high school with, and I like to think we can call each other friends. Anyways, I read a note and blog she posted on Facebook and Myspace respectively. It was so informative and moving that I will now share it with all of you.

"[look forward to a revolution...]

So, you know how everyone always says, "Everything happens for a reason."

And although you always feel like you can't figure out why things happen the way they do, you stand by the fact that everything happens for a reason.

Well my whole life I've lived by that standard, but until now I haven't understood why.

Somewhere around the age of 8, (I'll say 8 because my family doesn't seem to remember when and I guess I don't either) I found out I was infected by the Hepatitis B Virus. After numerous test, the doctors concluded that I had been infected for sometime (probably, they suggest, since I was around 4-or-so). After an attempt to stop my virus from becoming "chronic" I had to take medication (shot of interferon like twice a day) for a long time. I honestly have no idea how old I was or for how long I really don't remember. When I was 10-years-old, my doctor told my mother and I, among other things, that there was a chance I'd have to have a liver transplant in the next ten years... Now, he probably meant that as one of those surgeon general warnings like "if you smoke cigs, your child will come out retarded" but I took it as I was sentence to die and have no life. I felt worthless and quilty all the time. I was sure I would never be able to have kids and I thought I was a murderer. I thought everyone that I breathed around was going to get infected like me.... when I would sneeze it was like pulling a trigger aimed at someone's head. And now I have a complex because of it I guess. I have to be stronger, faster, harder than it. I am boss. It's like a contest. Between myself. That half that is a diseased-freak who is destined to live in a slum and collect welfare and live pay check to paycheck or that half that is like FUCK YOU BITCH!, I am intelligent, I am diverse, I am openminded, I am beautiful, I am strong, I am your best friend and I am hollywood watch and see.

Anyway, this isn't a curse. It's a stepping stone from God. He gave me this obstacle to build my strength, to challenge me, make me think , be creative, ambitious, in touch with nature, in touch with civilization, free-willed, !!!!!!!!! I can help people!

I can help myself and the people who were me and needed someone to talk to and I can prevent YOU from being that person.

Trendy Buttons for HBV support, awareness, and prevention coming soon!

♥"Dani"Ashley D. Evans

ashley_d_evans@georgiasouthern.edu"

By now I hope you are all moved to take a stand and fight for this cause. Good, because I'm about to drop some more info on you people, all of which can be found at Miss Evans' Myspace page. But I know some of you don't like to follow links so just consider this a convienient courtesy on my part.

Round 2 coming at you like this:

What Is Hepatitis B?

Hepatitis B is a contagious liver infection which is caused by the hepatitis B virus, and it is responsible for an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 deaths each year in the United States from chronic liver disease or liver cancer. It is easily spread through contact with blood or the bodily fluids of an infected person, and the hepatitis B virus is one which is found worldwide

Signs and Symptoms

There are many signs and symptoms that you will notice if you have contracted the virus, such as a loss of appetite, fatigue, pain in the muscles or joints, diarrhea or vomiting, and jaundice, however there are many others that you may experience, and then on the other hand you may not experience any symptoms at all, and this is the most dangerous position of all that you could be in because then you may be living with the infection for a lengthy period of time, completely unaware of it and the damage that it is doing to your body.

The VACCINE

There are ways of prevention however, which means that you should actually worry about Hepatitis B whether or not you already have it, before you contract it, so that your body can be guarded and protected against it. The hepatitis B vaccine is the best possible protection against the virus, as the vaccine prevents both the virus infection itself as well as the chronic diseases that are related to it.
Three shots are needed for complete protection, and the vaccine is recommended for all newborn babies, all children from 11-12 years of age who have not been vaccinated, and persons of any age whose behavior or job puts them at high risk for the hepatitis B infection, such as people who: have had sex with someone infected with the virus, have had sex with more than one partner, are men who have had sex with other men, or have a job that involves contact with human blood.

If you want MORE INFO just follow the link. Please do it!!!

Round 3 is up next, hold on tight.

THE STATS

According to the Centers for Disease Control approximately 78,000 people in the United States were infected by HBV in 2001 and about 5,000 people die per year from HBV-associated disease.
One in 20 people in the United States is infected by HBV at some time in their lives with the highest infection rate being in young adults.
About 5% of people infected by HBV get a chronic infection and there are more than one million Americans with chronic hepatitis B.
Up to one quarter of these chronically-infected patients will die of some form of liver disease.
As a result of the currently available excellent vaccine, the number of acute hepatitis B infections in the United States has been falling.

Round 4, y'all still with me?

Miss Evans speaks:

THE MOVEMENT!!!!!!

I am now selling trendy buttons for the cause; proceeds will go towards the awareness movement, support groups, and various Hepatitis B support organizations.
I would like to challenge you to be not as much an assumer as a seeker.

"Brand New" "Swagger Like Us"

Yeah, well I have read that "Swagger Like Us" will be on Paper Trail AND Blueprint 3. I also read that "Swagger Like Us" is Jay-Z's 1st single. So.....does it still count as T.I's like 4th single or whateva number we're on now? Either way that song is hot, Jay-Z is the man and T.I., well....T.I is still King of the South.

Up next, I will admit that I am a complete fan of that Nick show "Degrassi: The Next Generation". If you know anything about it then you know that the wheel chair bound character named Jimmy was somewhat of an aspiring rap artist on the show at one point in time. Well, I've been hearing for a while that he's really actually trying to do the music thing in real life. I'm not remembering the government name right now, but for the moment I'll assume it's Drake, like this song is labeled that I'm about to discuss. So, in my daily prowl of allhiphop.com, I came across this "new Weezy track". So I follow the link to this song with afore mentioned Drake. It's a youtube clip ofcourse but I'm lookin extra hard at this pic thinking: "Man, that really looks like Jimmy...Man that IS JIMMY!" It's actually a pretty good song too. It's called "Brand New"

I think my next course of action will be to see if he has a Myspace music page like everyone else in the world, including Hip-Hop Harry (but that's another blog entirely, maybe tomorrow ;) ). Back to the subject at hand, I'm not exactly sure what kind of artist Drake (if that is his real name) is trying to be. He is singing on this particular track, but like I said he was a decent rapper on Degrassi....but I don't want to say that he may have been the rapper only because he's black...but would that be a stretch? But Wayne is also singing on this track too, but that's nothing new since he discovered autotune.

Wow!!! I just rermembered his real name from the title sequence of Degrassi, his name is Aubrey Grahm...where did Drake come from? But at this very moment I have found his Myspace and I will very soon be adding him as a friend. This kid is fire, I'm currently hearing another song featuring Wayne called "I Can Take Your Girl". So he's rapping and singing apparently, and he does both well in my opinion, Drake that is. Let's be real, Wayne isn't the best singer out there. Snaps, who is featured on "Mrs. Officer" (not Bobby Valentino, the other rapping guy[sorry])? because that guy is also featured on this song. Drake Aubrey Jimmy is doin it.

Oh snaps! He is on "Replacement Girl" with Trey Songz!!?? I've heard this song before...and I haad no idea....that....Drake...Aubrey...Jimmy...wow. There's a video too. This is too much discovery for one morning. REAL TALK tho, some one please tell me why he calls himself Drake!!! So I guess the responsible thing to do now is hit you guys with links. To check out "BRAND NEW" and "I Can Take Your Girl" and other tracks, plus the video for "Replacement Girl" click here and you can do it all, including adding Drake as a friend to your Myspace. Oh and the version with Lil Wayne has been posted here for your convienence. I'm really feeling the original on his Myspace though. My b, this is the link to his OFFICIAL Myspace page. The other was just a fan page.

On The Campus

This is something I found a while ago. I caution all of my fellow college students to exercise good judgement when using the sites I am about to provide the links to. First you have Juicy Campus and next is USAGoneDirty formerly known as CampusGossip. Yes, these sites are pretty much self explanatory, you go and search your school and you can find OR post gossip there. However, let's not get too outrageous and petty with these. It's just for fun guys, keep that in mind. Oh yeah and it's anonymous too!

Can you imagine what it would be like if there was a website like this exclusively for people in the mainstream music industry? I think that would be quite the site to see.

The Blueprint: Blue and White Week 2008

The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Soroity Inc., and the men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., at GA State University are hosting their Blue and White Week 2008 starting this Sunday. Why am I writing about this? Well, it's simple. They chose a bangin theme for their week. They're calling it "The Blueprint". It doesn't stop there either. Each day they are holding different events, and each day is entitled with another Jay-Z song or album.

Sunday is called "Bluemagic", Monday is "Reasonable Doubt", Tuesday goes by "Show Me What You Got", Wednesday has been labeled "The Gift and The Curse", and Thursday rounds out the week with "Hard Knock Life".

I'm thinking someone must be a Jigga fan over there. So good lookin out to the members of Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma at GA State University. The creativity is priceless. Good luck on "The Blueprint".

In other news, next Friday there should be another installment of "Who Got Next" and it shall be nice! I'm thinking of updating you guys on other things in the college circuit as well so that segment will be called "On The Campus".

I Turn My Swag On!!!!!!!!

Now, I don't even care who I upset with this post. I am totally feeling this song by Soulja Boy: "Swag On". I think it's basically a more kid friendly version of Rocko's "This Morning". Regardless, I dare anyone to say that the hook of "Swag On" is not catchy. "I hopped up out the bed, turn my swag on, took a look in the mirror said Wassup YEAAAAH I'm gettin money, Oh!"

I guess I should write about something Jay or Wayne related to offset the Soulja boy excitement, but I sadly report that I have nothing to post about either of them. However if you go to allhiphop.com you can hear a new Weezy track. Although I have a hard time determining what counts as a new Wayne track since it seems like there's been a new song with him released at least every week. So go to allhiphop.com and click the Media Zone tab and proceed to the music section and have yourself a ball with all the songs you may have not heard from nearly every relevant artist. Better yet, here's the link for you: http://allhiphop.com/multimedia/multimedialist.aspx?app=multimedia__music

And of course I have to treat you to "Swag On" by Soulja Boy. Give it a chance please.

Beyonce's ROC

I know for a fact that I am super late reporting on this, but MY GOODNESS, have you seen the wedding ring that Jay gave B? It was well worth the wait I believe. I did search for pics, but to no avail. I'll try again and them post them accordingly in an edit. I mean talk about "That rock on your finger is like a tumor/ You can't fit your hand in your new purse" That is how you know that Jay-Z is real. We need more real artists, not just in hip hop either. As a matter of fact, we need more real people in the world [point blank period]. If you're stereotypically "lame" then embrace it. If you're not the quote unquote "coolest" then embrace that too. If you can't afford to be draped in designer clothes from head to toe, then create your own brand of freshness. On the other hand if you are "cool" and "fresh to def" then do you and keep it moving. Don't stop and try to down someone else. That defiantely interrupts your own swag, and for the moment when you're putting someone else down, you are a certified loser hands down, no if's and's or but's about it. You can take that to the bank. Basically just be you and let other people be them.

Follow This Blog

I know I have some readers out there, and most of you don't leave comments, and that's cool. Although I would REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE IT, if you would "follow" this blog. It's basically like a subscription, you'll be updated on when I update this blog. There's a link on the right side of this page ------->>> that says "Followers: We Read This". If you decide to let it be known that you follow this page, all you have to do is click that link over there ------>>.

Oh yeah, and there are going to be some great new things coming within the next couple of months, so STICK WITH ME!

Weezy Weezy Wee Weezy Weezy Wee Weezy Weezy Wee

Soooooooooooooooooooooo
I didn't see the VMA's but I've seen pics. I think we all know where this is going. Now, I am fully aware that most of the general public loves Lil Wayne (including my mother), so I'm gonna do my best not to step on any toes here. However, I just can't get past Wayne's new lip piercing. I know he's been a pretty successful trendsetter so far, but I pray this one doesn't catch on. I mean for one it looks like a simple ball, nothing special there. Where the diamonds at Weezy??? I think I'd be a little more accepting of the piercing if it was a diamond or something. Yeah...that would make it better.

Word on the street

Now, I don't know how much credibility there is to this next claim but it sounds reasonable enough to me. I was informed by one of my home boys that Lil Wayne won't go to jail because he employs too many people. I'm not sure whether or not that will hold up in a court of law, but if it does I definately won't be mad at it.
I'll leave off with one of my favorite Weezy lines:
"When I was 5 my favorite movie was the Grimlins, Aint got s**t to do with this but I just thought that I should mention."

New Posting ID

It's still me. I've just decided to make this more "official looking" I guess, so all subsequent postings will be made under this name.

SAY WHAT??

Well as a part of increasing the span of my writings I would like to report to you something that I found at allhiphop.com

So, there is this Youtube vid, with this guy who claims to be the biological father of Sarah Palin's unborn grandchild, and it is NOT the guy we see shaking hands with McCain. To add to the shocker, it would of course be a young man of African American decent (like how I phrased that?). But, the cherry on this sundae for me was during his explanation of the situation, he somehow throws in that he is a musician...and by this point I'm holding my breath thinking "Please don't say it...oooo please don't say it, no no NO don't say it..." Then of course he drops the R-BOMB, and says he's a RAPPER! Well, at least an aspiring rapper from what I can tell since he looks no where near familiar. By now I'm thinking if he makes a song and a video about his realtionship with daughter Palin, then he might just get some shine. Oh yeah, and he's voting Obama in Novemeber, no shock especially since he says mama and papa Palin don't want him in the picture. Now isn't that the anthesis of progression. Without further adu, here's the video.

YEEAAHH!

So my home girl sent me this over the weekend, I must say hands down it the most hilarious thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I don't believe there are many other things in life funnier than this video.

WHOA EDIT!! AMIL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I spoke way 2 soon in the last post! Amil did spit over the "A Milli" beat!!! I'm so excited right now. Personally I do think she could have come a bit harder, but I'm just glad she's back. The mixtape is called "Amil Returns: The Lost Classics Edition" And from what I can see of the track listing it DOES have some CLASSICS, regardless, I'ma find myself a copy and bump it!

This next one is called "Don't Worry" I'm feeling it. She's keeping it 100 on this one.

3000 Hits pt. 2

Thanks to all of you who read this blog, whoever you may be. I appreciate each and every one of you. This happens to be a new found interest of mine and seeing that my interest interests other people makes it that much more fun! So like I said before, tell a friend to tell a friend who should tell a friend who will then tell a random stranger! AND then add this to the list of blogs you FOLLOW.

Thanx a million.

P.S. speaking of "A Million" where on earth is Amil? I love that girl. With everyone spitting over the A Milli instrumental you would think this would have been her best opportunity to come out of the shadows. I mean really! Amil over "A Milli" sounds like the perfect fit to me.

WHOA WHOA EDIT PART 2!!!!!!!

Wow, this came as a sudden revelation and utter shock to my own mind, but here it is. I just posed the question : "Are rappers paying attention?" in reference to the fact that Jay-Z is releasing his 3rd Blueprint album. The BLUEPRINT!!!!! So shouldn't there be more MC's making major moves and going extra platinum like Jay. I quickly dismissed myself with that notion, thinking I was just ranting again for no reason and then it HIT me like a brick wall or something else large and extremely solid. There is a rapper making major moves AND going extra platinum, I know I'm going to offend SOOOOOO many people by saying this but just hear me out.

SOULJA BOY is using the Blueprint!!! I know it seems absurd but think about it. Soulja Boy has created a mega star out of himself using the modern technologies of today. Jay Z used the resources of the days before Soulja Boy could even understand speech let alone understand what rap was. I mean this kid is a 90's baby. Now that he's on, he's going extra platinum. His debut album went platinum 3 times! Let me say that again: THREE TIMES! On to his major moves, he's got a shoe deal with Yums, and he's coming out with a cartoon. A CARTOON! Yes, and that sounds ridiculous but Andre 3000 had a cartoon, which I must admit that I am still a fan of. (I have'nt seen it in a while though, can anyone tell me if Class of 3000 still comes on?) Not to mention the 5 million ringtones he sold. Wait, and all of this came in a single year. Now I know Soulja Boy is propbably the most hated rapper right now, but you must admit that this kid has a SERIOUS hustle. And in the words of Jay-Z himself: "You can't knock the hustle."

The Blueprint 3

Jigga is at it again. Giving us the third installment of the blueprint. With this being the third one and all, it makes me wonder: "Are rappers paying attention?" I mean it IS the blueprint, so shouldn't there be more Jay type MC's out there, making major moves and going extra platinum??? I'm tripping, anyways, this should be a real good look for Hov none the less. Also, word on the street is that he and Wifey Beyonce will drop albums around the same time and then go on TOUR together. Now, I've never really been the concert type, but darn it I would definately buy a tickect to that show! It's not like they don't already have enough collabs together to do a nice set now.

3000 Hits

As I see that we are rapidly approaching 3000 hits (clap it up), I would like to thank those of you who frequent this site AND I would now like to ask a favor of you. TELL A FRIEND ABOUT IT!! Then tell that friend to tell a friend who should then tell a friend who should then tell a random stranger. Thanx guys and gals!!!

Trying something new!!! / Who Got Next?

So, this blog is supposed to be about Jay-Z and Lil Wayne and some loosely related items. However, I have found myself wanting to write about more and more. I have decided that the focus of the blog will continue to be the great Carters with the addition of any and everything in between.

Welcome to the new Carter 2 Carter!!! From Jay-Z to Weezy and ANYTHING in between!!!

So to get things rolling in the right direction I would like to draw your attention to the first of many up and comming artists that I will spotlight in the series called: "Who Got Next?"

This guy is straight out of College Park. ATL stand up!!!! He goes by the name of Demetrius Bra (pronounced BRUH) aka Meat Da Man aka The shirt and tie Guy. This fellow is definately bringing a new sound and SWAG to the rap game. I mean shirt AND tie?!?!?! Now that's smooth right there. Meat has even gone so far as to rap over some smooth jazz instrumentals. He recently performed in Cenntenial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta with jazz cool cat William Green. Unfortunately I was unable to make that show but from the buzz I've heard about it and the pics I've seen from the event, it appears to me that they rocked it hard. Oh I must add that this was no tiny crowd either. You can check his music out HERE and decide for yourself whether or not Meat Da Man GOT NEXT.

Here are some pics from the show at Cenntenial Olympic Park:

Nice looking crowd I must say.

I think they like it!

KRS-1 + Soulja Boy = History

How many people have said that Soulja Boy is the death of hip hop? How many people have said that Soulja Boy is the whackest rapper ever created? How many people have called Soulja Boy nothing more than a gimmick? The list of insults to Soulja Boy's talent (or in many people's opinion his lack there of) can go on and on for days. Ice-T says Soulja Boy killed hip hop, but neither him nor any of the other Soulja Boy haters have taken the time out to sit down with Soulja Boy and express their opinions directly. Now, KRS-1 had a great conversation with Soulja Boy on Rap City about the entire hip hop issue and the parts they both play in it. I think this was the best thing that could happen to hip hop now, right after "Swagger Like Us". SO here's the video to see for yourself.

Too Good To Play?????????

Now, this has absolutely nothing to do with Jay or Wayne, but the story caught my eye so I wanted to bring it to the attention of you all.
So there apparently is this 9 year old boy that is an AMAZING pitcher, like he's throwing balls at 40 mph. So the little league wants him to stop playing because he is too good and intimidating the other little leaguers. This seems pretty ridiculous to me, I say if you won't let him pitch with the little boys then let him pitch with the slightly bigger boys. Here's the link to the entire article.

Swagger Like Us

Certainly by now you've heard the leak of "Swagger Like Us" from T.I's upcoming album "Paper Trail". So I dont have to stress to you what a huge record this is. I mean, let's be real. T.I., Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, AND Kanye West on the SAME SONG! What could really be better than that. At least one of every hip hop lovers favorite rappers is on this song. Everyone loves at least one of these guys if not all of them. I think this is monumental.

Not only does this song line up four heavyweights, but its nothing like any of these other "Swag" songs we've been flooded with lately, i.e all of Rocko's songs, ummm even Blood Raw's "Louie Bag".

I would like to thank T.I for making this song a reality. This is something that rap/hip hop has been starving for lately. Not to down any of the other guys in the game doing their thing but think to yourself: When was the last time we had a song so real by artists that are so real and go so hard on their own regularly to come together on a track with an out of the box sample (M.I.A's "Paper Planes" [look it up on youtube if ya never heard it, it's cool])? I'm sure if we took the time to reminesce on it we could come up with whatever the most recent example is but off the top nothing comes to mind.

You knew I wouldnt leave with out posting it for you!

I had to show you guys this spoof of 99 problems. This guy had me rolling. Enjoy it. Sha-Boing! (once you watch the vid you'll get it)

Just a Thought

This is just a random thought, but how cool would a collab between Lil Wayne and Natasha Bedingfield be? I think that would be a great song, I'd settle for Weezy putting 16bars on a "Pocket Full of Sunshine" remix. Better yet, I'd even settle for a Weezy freestyle over that instrumental. It seems a little obscure, but I believe that the two of them can make great music together. Let me know what you think. Leave a comment or email your thoughts to carter2carterspot@gmail.com .

Tha Luther

Soooo, this is one of those loosely related items. Well, Lil Wayne appeared on The Boondocks one episode and it was funny in The Boondocks fashion. While, I think one of the most hilarious episodes includes Grandpa opening a restaurant called the Itis where he served the Luther burger. If you saw then you know the Luther is basically edible death, consisting of a burger bacon and 2 Krispie Kreme donuts just to name a few ingredients. Well, I saw an episode of Paula Dean's cooking show on the food network a while ago and low and behold she basically made the Luther, but of course she called it a breakfast snadwhich. So I thought I would share that with you today.
Here is The Luther :

This is the "breakfast sandwhich" I like to call it "The breakfast Luther":

A Milli Remix

Whoa so Chris Breezy and Jay-Z, Fabolous, and Cory did their thing on the remix to A Milli. To my surprise I actually heard it on the radio yesterday but it only included Jay and Chris's verses. Well, hereit is for ya.

BET Awards

I will start by saying Lil Wayne ended that show with a bang indeed. BUT thats not what I want to discuss. I want to know how you all felt about Usher's performance. Personally, I was hoping Beyonce and Wayne would appear from the ceiling or something in a cloud of smoke an other pyrotechnics and perform the remix to Love in the Club, but that didnt happen. SO lemme know how you felt first about Usher's opening act, then any other performaces that stood out to you. Open discussion on the entire show is what I'm looking for. Send your reviews to carter2carterspot@gmail.com or leave it in a comment to this post.

Lil Wayne Loves Nivea

On the BET show Blueprint with Big Tigger, Lil Wayne declared his love for R&B songtress Nivea. After deflecting questions about his relationships with Karren Stephens and Trina, Weezy answered the question about Nivea with these 3 words "I love Nivea". It's a beautiful thing I must say.

Platinum Thoughts

Just a lil somethin for you to think on...

Basically all of Jay-Z's albums have gone platinum at this point. And we all know that Jay does his writing completely in his head. So does that mean that Hov has PLATINMUM THOUGHTS. Think about it, if all the things you think about actually cause millions of people to buy a recording of them, then doesnt that make your thoughts platinum too? With plantinum thoughts... who cares whether or not you call you self the best rapper alive? Right?

CountDown!!!!!!!

7 DAYS TIL THE CARTER 3 DROPS!
OH YEAH IT'S OFFICIAL.

This is definately going to be the true test of whether Wayne can still claim himself to be the best rapper alive. This album is going to make him more of a beast or break him. Either way true Lil Wayne fans that have been holdin him down since the block was hot will probably not be disappointed even if he just sneezed and blew his nose on every other track.

Hottest MC In The Game 2008

As we all know, MTV named Lil Wayne the hottest MC in the game last year. However, this year Lil Wayne ranked 3rd on that list. With Jay-Z holding it down at #2 and Kanye West as #1. Wow. Regardless, being in the top 5 is something to be admired.

On my mind now, is who has the better collaborations with their chik? Jay or Wayne? Of course Jay has had numerous tracks with Wifey Beyonce and Lil Wayne has had numerous flings. But what do you think?
My choices of comparison are "03 Bonnie and Clyde" to " She's Feeling Me" by Lil Wayne and Nivea (who I hear have finally reunited)

Weezy Sober

Sorry for the long time no see thing. BUT word on the street is that Weezy is going to STOP using cocaine. Now, some of you may not have even none that Wayne was doing lines but if he's planning on stopping I guess he must have been doing, ya digg. Anyways, so from what I hear he's going to stop using cocaine because it's giving him acne. Yes, Weezy is concerned with his complexion. Whatever the reason is, I'm glad that he's turning over a new leaf. Of course, here is the entire article for you to read for yourselves. ENJOY IT!

LOVE IN THIS CLUB REMIX

Well, Weezy will not stop. And what else do we really expect from him. A remix without him at this point just wouldn't be a remix. This time he teamed up with BEYONCE to put a twist on Usher's hit "Love In This Club" Hmmmmm...interesting isn't it? Weezy and Beyonce, or Mrs.Carter I guess I should say (Mrs. Shawn Carter that is). Anyway, it's a nice song, it sounds completely different from the original, but in a refreshing way.
Anywhoo, here it is for you to enjoy, or judge, or whatever it is you wanna do with it.

But Lil Wayne Is Already Gone

Sorry for the hiatus. But sometimes it be like that y'all. Anywayz, there's an excerpt from an article in the new VIBE that I just read that I want to share wit yall. Here's the link : http://www.vibe.com/news/cover_stories/2008/04/lilwayne_may_cover_story/

But for those of you who dont like to do any extra clicking, here's the excerpt:

Hendrix. Marley. ‘Pac. B.I.G. History is littered with legends who burned brightest just before they burned out. For two years now, LIL WAYNE has been just that hot, spitting out classic albums, mixtapes, and cameos at a ferocious pace. But with crossover success only one song away, Wayne can’t seem to shake the cloud of controversy- drugs, guns, and girl trouble- hanging over his every move. Benjamin Meadows-Ingram hops on a smoky tour bus with the best rapper alive, and dares to ask whether the most dangerous man in Wayne’s world is Wayne himself.

There’s a white girl. But isn’t there always? This one’s in her mid- 20s. She’s about six feet tall in strappy two-inch heels. She’s got on a silver dress with spaghetti straps—it hangs loosely, suggestively, over her fit frame before stopping mid-thigh. And she’s teetering around the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, clinging to a silver clutch and a half-empty champagne flute. The occasion? The Big Easy Billiards Bash and Afterparty, hosted by New Orleans Saints star running back Reggie Bush and brand-new Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal. The bash is just one of many celebrity events popping off in the Big Easy on this Friday in February, the first official night of NBA All-Star Weekend 2008.

Bush? Shaq? Nowhere in sight. But no matter, the star attraction has just materialized: Ladies and gentlemen, Lil Wayne is in the building.

At first his presence is simply felt—or make that, heard. Posted up in a service area just outside the ballroom, Wayne stands off in a corner, by himself, leaning on a wall next to a rack of ice and soda machines. Idle hotel employees gawk. Through a set of double doors, 15 yards away, Wayne’s surrogate father and boss, Cash Money Records co-CEO Bryan “Baby” Williams, commands the crowd, ripping through his 2002 street hit, “What Happened To That Boy.” As Baby prowls the stage, Wayne fires ad libs into a wireless mic from his perch in the hall while shooting off text messages with his free hand.

Then the real show begins. “How many of you out there are feeling my son?” Baby asks the throng pressing tighter against the stage. The crowd roars and Wayne springs into action. Passing his still-open flip phone to one of the 20-plus dudes rolling with the Cash Money crew this evening, Wayne takes a sip from the triple-stacked Styrofoam cups he almost always keeps close at hand, pushes through the doors, and makes a quick dash to the stage. He bounds up five metal stairs and into the spotlight—mic in hand, flashing his blinding grin.

The pounding organs of Wayne’s—um, scratch that—Playaz Circle’s ’hood anthem, “Duffle Bag Boy,” rattle the rafters. “If I don’t do nothing, I’ma baaallllllll!” Wayne belts. And the place goes ape-shit. “I’m counting all day like the clock on the waaaalllll!”

Wayne throws his whole body into the performance, two-stepping across the stage, tossing his head full of dreads with abandon, and delivering lines as if each word sends a shock up his spine. The music controls him; the fans adore him. As he plows through favorites like 2006’s “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” and last year’s “Pop Bottles” and “Prostitute,” he plays with his flow, singing some lines, blazing through others. For his frenetic verse from DJ Khaled’s recent “We Takin’ Over,” he holds out the mic, and lip synchs the words while the crowd fills in the blanks.

He’s consummate showman, with the threads to match—Marc Jacobs aviators, crisp dark-wash Levi’s accented with a Louis Vuitton bandana and a chain wallet hanging from the pockets, snakeskin adidas mids, an impeccable white V-neck, and what can only be described as one of the flyest peacoats known to man.

Within 20 minutes, the set thunders to a close, and ol’ girl knows it’s time to make her move. As Wayne skips offstage, she drifts past the venue’s lax security, produces a digital camera from her clutch, and starts doing everything she can to corral Wayne for an impromptu photo op.

“Lil Wayne! Lil Wayne!” she calls, juggling the camera, the clutch, and the glass while attempting to get an arm over his shoulder for the money shot. Wayne keeps his head down, paying her no mind as he makes his way toward a service exit, and the customized maroon Prevost H3-45 tour bus waiting for him at the loading dock out back. But homegirl is insistent, and as soon as her arm hits his coat, it’s greeted with a get-the-fuck-off-me shrug that sends her camera clattering to the floor. “Lil Waaaynne,” she pleads, scooping up her goods so she can continue the pursuit. “Lil Wayne?!” she says again, to anyone who will listen. “Is something wrong with him?” But Lil Wayne is already gone.

Weezy F. BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa whoa whoa!!!!!!!! As you probably already know, The Carter 3 is set to be released on May 13, 2008. Thanks to a rumor section on http://allhiphop.com/ I ran across what I thought for certain had to be a joke. It's the cover for the third installment of the Carter series. Now, you can go to the article on the site and see for yourself that I didnt make this up. You can also go to Amazon.com and see it too. Here's the direct link: http://www.amazon.com/Tha-Carter-III-Lil-Wayne/dp/B0013ABI48/ref=cm_lmf_tit_11_rsrssi1

But for all of you willing to take my word for it, here is what may be the cover to the much anticipated album. (I don't honestly believe it is though)
