Just recently I was asked about the latest Jay-Z video "I Know". The first thing brought up was that Jay-Z is not even in the video. "It doesn't make any sense!!!" is what I was told. SO, I decided to do some investigating of my own. I watched the video and followed the lyrics. And here is my interpretation: The song of course is an allusion to drug usage. Jay is describing himself as the woman's drug of choice, namely heroin in the first verse. In the second verse he's fashion, shopping, expensive clothes etc., and the third verse I see as the withdrawl. Ultimately he is what the lady wants and "he knows" what she likes.
The video itself is very trippy, as to be expected given the lyrical content of the song. You see the woman having the ULTIMATE drug trip, and another woman is shown looking so in need of something, shortly afterward we see she is in need of her male counterpart, he is her drug. And this is the gist of the video. Hopefully that cleared any hazy parts of this video, if not let me know and I'll try again.
Here's the video, ENJOY!

She Say I'm Like A Lollipop
I've heard lots of talk about the new Wayne video "Lollipop". Most people I talk to seem to think that Wayne is EXTRA high in this video. Why? Just because he cranked the Roosevelt a few times? Or because he's dancing with a pleasantly plump female? Because he's playing the guitar on top of a bus? Oh wait, maybe it's because it's obvious that he's just having FUN? He's just doin what gets all these new artists attention like Soulja Boy and VIC. He's being silly and having fun. I don't think he's high in this video, if anything I think he's completely sober and realized that no matter what he does we will still love him and think he's an amazing rapper. What better way to test that thoery than in a video that will play on BET and MTV constantly? Well, you be the judge. What do you think is up with Weezy in this video?

My Favorite Hue Is Jay-Z Blue
“Attract money my worst color is light green/ my favorite hue is Jay-Z blue…” the words of Shawn Carter in the remix of "Go Crazy" by Young Jeezy.
In the first week of January of 2007, he previewed a GMC Yukon Denali SUV, in yes you guessed it JAY-Z BLUE. He worked with the company's global color studio to produce the latest hue for the Denali.

LYRICS pt.1
Now for the fun. Let's compare some of the lyrics of Mr.Carter and Mr. Carter. We'll start off slow. Let's take a look at Jay-Z's "Minority Report", which features R&B singer NeYo, about Hurricane Katrina and all of its aspects and put up against Lil Wayne's "Georgia...Bush" which is more of a direct attack on President Bush and his lack of finesse when it came to handling Katrina. Here we go:
"Minority Report"
People was poor before the hurricane came
When the downpour poured it was like when Mary J. sang
Everyday it rained, so everyday the pain
But ignored 'em, and showed 'em the risk was to blame
But life is chain, cause and effected
Niggaz off the chain, because they affected
It's a dirty game, it's whatever is effective
From weed to sellin' 'caine, gotta put that in effect
Wouldn't you loot? If you didn't have the loot
Baby needed food and you was stuck on the roof
And helicopters swoop down just to get a scoop
Through his telescopic lens, but he didn't scoop you
For the next five days, no help ensued
They called you a refugee because you seek refuge
And the Commander-in-Chief, just flew by
Didn't stop, 'though he had a couple seats
Just proved Jet blue, he's not, jet flew by the spot
But if he ran outta jet fuel and just dropped
Huh, that'd've been somethin' to watch
Helicopters doin' fly-bys to take a couple shots
Couple portraits, then ignored him
He'd be just another Bush surrounded by a couple orchids
Poor kids, just 'cause they was poor kids
Left them on they porches, same old story in New Orleans -
Silly rappers, 'cause we got a couple Porsches
MTV stopped by to film our fortresses
We forget the unfortunate
Sure, I ponyed up a mil' but I didn't give my time
So in reality I didn't give a dime
or a damn, I just put my monies in the hands
of the same people that left my people stranded
Nothin' but a bandit, left my folks abandonned
Damn, money we gave just a band aid
Can't say we better on than we was before
In synopsis, this is my Minority Report

"Georgia...Bush"
Noooowww This song is dedicated to the one wit the suit
Thick white skin and his eyes bright blue
So called beef wit you know who
Fuck it he just let em kill all of our troops
Look at the bullshit we been through
Had the niggas sittin on top they roofs Hurricane Katrina, we shoulda called it Hurricane (Geeoorrggiaa) Bush
Then they tellin y'all lies on the news
The white people smiling like everything cool
But I know people that died in that pool
I know people that died in them schools
Now what is the survivor to do?
Got to no trailer, you gotta move
Now it's on to Texas and to (Geeoorrggiiaa)
They tell you what they want, show you what they want you to see
But they don't let you know what's really goin on
Make it look like a lotta stealin goin on
Boy them cops is killas in my home
Nigga shot dead in the middle of the street I ain't no thief, I'm just tryin to eat
Man fuck the police and president (Geeoorrrggiiaa) Bush
So what happened to the levies, why wasn't they steady
Why wasn't they able to control this?
I know some fok' that live by the levey that keep on tellin me they heard this, stole this
Same shit happened back in Hurricane Betsy 1965,
I ain't too young to know this
That was President Johnson now but it's president (Geeoorrggiiaa) Bush
[Chorus - 2X] We from a town where (Georgia)
Everybody drowned, and
Everybody died, but baby I'm still prayin wich ya
Everybody cryin but (Georgia)
Aint nobody tried, there's no doubt on my mind it was (Georgia) Bush
Noooowwww
I was born in the boot at the bottom of the map
New Orleans baby, now the white house hatin, tryin to wash away like we not on the map
Wait, have you heard the latest, they sayin you gotta have paper if you tryin to come back Niggas thinkin it's a wrap, see we can't hustle in they trap, we ain't from (Geeoorrggiaa)
Noooww it's them dead bodies, them lost houses, the mayor say dont worry bout it
And the children have been scarred, no ones here to care bout em
And fash out, to all the rappers that helped out
Yea we like to thank all y'all, but fuck president (Geeoorrggiaa) Bush
We see them Confederate flags, you know what it is
A white cracker muthafucka that probably voted for him
And no he ain't gonna drop no dollas, but he do drop bombs
R.I.P. Tay cuz he died in the storm, fuck president (Geeoorrggiiaa) Bush
See us in ya city man, give us a pound
Cuz if a nigga still movin then he holdin it down
I had two Jags, but I lost both them bi-tch-es I'm from N.O. the N.O. Yea!
Now, here have the same general concern when comes to content but two COMPLETELY different ways of going about it. Maybe something like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X? Same goal, different methods.

The Best Rapper Alive Since The Best Rapper Retired
"The best rapper alive, since the best rapper retired" That was the statement made by Weezy in the song "Bring it Back". There's been alot of talk about whether or not Wayne is actually the best rapper alive or not. I don't believe that should be the question. The bigger question is now: since Jay-Z is no longer retired, does that mean Lil Wayne is no longer the best rapper alive?
Saying he's the best since the best retired, obviously tells us that he feels Jay-Z is the best rapper alive. SO, does Weezy F. Baby need to return his title to Hova now that he has come out of retirement?
