All The Way Turnt Up
As not to get into the politics of this song, Roscoe Dash has finally released a video for "All The Way Turnt Up" featuring Soulja Boy. I just watched it today to find that one scene was shot in front of the GA State University Commons Residence Hall in downtown ATL. They made sure not to catch the actual sign in any of the shots, but anyone who has been there will recognize those infamous stairs and rails. So here it is.

Say Ahh Remix
I'm a fan of Trey Songz' music and have been for some time now. This morning I came across this "spoof" of Say Ahh. Interestingly enough, it's a pretty good song! Check it out yourself and decide for yourselves.

Weezy Update
This just in: apparently Wayne was granted an extension until March 2nd! So until then he's still a free man. Anybody know T.I.'s release date? I'm sure it's in March sometime. Hmmm...
Wayne Goes In Today
As you Weezy fans must know, today is that infamous day. Lil Wayne will report to Rikers Island today. If you haven't already check out his interview with Rolling Stone Magazine about the issue. I have a feeling we'l be hearing a deluge of Wayne tracks for at least the next week.

Black and Gold Superbowl
Who dat said they gon' beat them Saints?
I've never been much of a football fan, but this whole Saints fever with WhoDatNation got me watching the games. I must say it was clear that the Saints had a greater hunger for the Championship than their opponents so they definitely deserved the win. I'm sure the city of New Orleans will be rockin for the next 3 months. Lil Wayne is probably writing a victory song as we speak, and it'll probably get released by the end of the week.

The Better Party: Mixtape Review
I mentioned these guys to you before a while back and here they are again. This time with an entire mixtape to present to you. The project is titled "The Better Party" and I downloaded it for free last night from EarthGang's official website. Today as I made my way through my day I listened to it and by no means was I surprised. I'll start with the first track: "Boom (EG Rock)" I can tell you now that this song will be going into my "most frequently played" playlist on iTunes. The production on this track is amazing; the sounds are so full and every instrument compliments each other perfectly. Luckily, the production quality throughout the entire mixtape is on par. Now let's talk about the artists, Johnny Venus and Sir Hobbes bring a certain something to the music that the rap game hasn't seen in recent years, a je ne sais qoui if you will. For the sake of making a comparison I would call them the young modern day on their way Outkast. As a sidenote I will add that while there is that Outkast undertone to their sound; you can't call one 3 Stacks and the other Big Boi, they are their own individuals indeed. To finish, I must mention track number 10. Hands down I call it dope. My criteria for a dope track? Simply said, if it makes me want to pick up a mic and hop on it myself, then I call it dope. "Throwed", the track I'm referring to, makes me want to step in the both ASAP, but we all know I won't so it's just the thought that counts here. "The Better Party" gets 2 thumbs up from me. Good job guys!!
Now that you have my opinion on it, check it out for yourselves. You can download "The Better Party" at http://earthgang.net/

GRAMMY NIGHT 2010
Congrats to all the winners! I was personally rooting for The Lonely Island to win for best rap sung collab for "I'm On A Boat" but I guess you can't win em all. Anyways, was I the only one who noticed that for the 2nd year in a row, Lil Wayne had the closing performance! That's a pretty big deal. I bet Drake was super excited to be performing at the Grammy's when this time last year he was just about to release "So Far Gone".
