Have You Found The One?

This is a post from my blog Follow My Pen that I thought would be good here too:

'Earlier tonight, my soror posed a question to twitter: How do you know when someone is "the one"? My response to her was:
"...laawwdd where do I start...I don't think you can know for sure until you're in a ready space.... you have to know who you are and Whose you are first. Then be open to and ready for having that person presented to you......you may already know "the one" but if you aren't prepared to receive him then you'll be blind to it...but once that's in place, you'll feel it in your spirit. You can look at him and know, & be able to explain it w/his actions...he treats you differently, even better than the best you've been treated by other men. I don't mean materially..."
I've never had that conversation before, so all of those statements are organic. I'd add now that the person who is "the one" for you sparks something in you. He or she lights a fire. Not just a passionate or loving or lusty fire, they give you an inspiration to better yourself in someway. This person motivates you to be the best version of yourself just by being present in your life. This is someone you trust without questioning and supports you without you asking.

I could go on with a laundry list of attributes I believe you find in "the one" but those would be attributes of my "one". I understand that this may manifest differently for different people based on what they believe and desire.

I wrote this post because I thought she posed a great question and I'd love to hear different perspectives on it. Thoughts?'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Top 10 Workout Songs of 2012

Fort Wayne, IN – January 6, 2013 – As is the case most years, there was a good deal of overlap between the music played on the radio and the music folks took to the gym. So, it'll come as no surprise that PSY, Rihanna, and Flo Rida each turn up in this year's recap.
On the other hand, there were plenty of chart favorites that didn't make the cut. In spite of a string of hits by each, neither The Wanted nor One Direction turn up here. And, while Carly Rae Jepsen makes an appearance in the list, it's not with "Call Me Maybe."
Rather than being overlooked, though, these songs were edged out by ones that monopolized the gyms the way their counterparts did the airwaves. To that end, the list is rounded out by a dance cut from Avicii, a breakthrough track for Havana Brown, and a collaboration between Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo.
Here's the full list, according to votes placed at Run Hundred--the web's most popular workout music blog.
