There are plenty of trends that I'm late on and this MTV show called Friend Zone. Many of you may know the premise: Have your best friend help you get ready for a blind date and at the last minute confess your true feelings to him/her and ask them on the date. I've seen maybe 5 or 6 episodes, with 3 couples per episode. Most of them end happily and the friend accepts the date and has also bee secretly harboring feelings for the other. HOWEVER, a few end poorly. The friend declines the date and the couple rides home in silence.
My question is this: What kind of friend would humiliate you on national TV by declining the date??? If any friend of mine confessed his feelings to me on MTV and asked me on a date, I would accept regardless of how I felt about him romantically. It's just the right thing to do. I would have to clear things up later, but as far as the show goes, I'd pretend to be completely infatuated for the cameras.
